Sorry and Goodbye

 Hello everyone. This is Travis, Patricia's son. I'm writing today to inform whoever is reading this blog of some very bad news. Over the Christmas holidays, my beloved mom passed away from her fight against cancer. It's taken me a long time to actually come onto her blog and write this post, which I do apologize for taking so long. She was my everything and I loved her very dearly, I couldn't ask nor dream of having a better mother, a better friend. 

I will be keeping this blog up, but sadly there will be no more new posts. I wish I had better news for everyone, and I'm sorry. I wish the year smiles on everyone and good luck comes your way. 

Hurricane Fiona

 Good day friends! Hope you have all been doing well! I just got power back after it being out for 14 days thanks to hurricane Fiona. 

Trees fallen across my driveway; there was about 25 trees that fell across my driveway.

Here's a video my son took for me. It was taken four days after the storm. 

Coyote

This big fella came down my driveway a couple of night ago around 3am. He looks almost as tall as my Maremma sheepdog Toffee.

Blue Heron

For the sixth summer in a row, the Blue Heron has returned :) What a magnificent looking bird! This one is the male, there is also a smaller brownish one here too (A female). They are very shy birds and fly away quickly when we try to get pics of them. The pics below are some of the best we've been able to get!

 

July 19

Hi! Hope you are all doing well! I'm doing ok! I just finished round #3 of chemo today. The Drs say that it looks like the chemo is working! I feel so blessed!

A friend sent me the purple/pink wig; so cute! 

I've been feeling so well these last couple of weeks, I got a pile of yardwork done. This is Turtle lane; the area the cows ruined. It has been 14 months; the area is finally usable again! There are pumpkin patches on each side at the front of the area. 

It's been a really rough year, but things are getting better. The chemo is working and with that my pain is getting better and I'm feeling better and better.
